IPv6 Workshop Lab Exercise: Multiple Address Configuration and Multihoming

Description: Configure router interfaces with alternate IPv6 addresses provided while retaining initial IPv6 address allocation. An additional link will be added to the IPv6 workshop lab, making multi-homing possible from some routers. Using added multihomed link, configure router to support routing across either interface.

Goals:

  • Verify that your router interfaces are configured with multiple IPv6 addresses.
  • Verify connectivity around the workshop lab with either router interface address.
  • Verify host computers connected off router interfaces are receiving router advertisements for all address blocks configured on local router interface.
