IPv6 Challenge
The IPv6 Working Group schedules IPv6 Challenges at various events, including the ESCC/Internet2 Joint Techs meetings, held at campuses around the country. Working with technical staff at each host campus, the IPv6 Challenge team determines what IPv6-readiness test can be offered at that location, based on local restrictions.

History:
The first IPv6 Challenge was staged at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln during the Summer 2008 Joint Techs. There was widespread participation for this event, with more than 2/3 of the event registrants successfully completing the challenge. (Photo)The second IPv6 Challenge occurred at Texas A&M University during the Winter 2009 Joint Techs. Due to some confusion about who was eligible to participate (many who had participated in Lincoln mistakenly thought they were disqualified), fewer people participated in this event. However, a great many NEW participants were added to the group. (Photo)
